In 1965 Rabbi Dr. Abraham Joshua Heschel opens in a new tab, one of the world’s most prominent Jewish scholars, was appointed Visiting Professor at Union Theological Seminary, a leading Protestant seminary in the United States. In his famous inaugural lecture No Religion is an Island, Dr. Heschel proposes a  religious and philosophical framework for constructive inter-religious relations.
